 Mr Anthony J Ward Mr Ward is a NHS Consultant and Honorary Senior Lecturer in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in the North Bristol NHS Trust. He works for the NHS at the Avon Orthopaedic Centre, Southmead Hospital, and Frenchay Hospital, Bristol. Mr Ward works privately as a Hip Specialist at the world renowned Sport and Orthopaedic Clinic - Bristol at Spire Hospital Bristol. Mr Ward specialises in hip, pelvic, lower limb surgery and sports injuries. He practices using the latest techniques like hip arthroscopy, minimally invasive hip replacement hip surgery. For patients who want to continue to enjoy gardening and some sport after surgery he will discuss the risks and benefits of large head hip replacement surgery. Mr Ward is commonly consulted as a second opinion by patients and colleagues internationally. He has developed the most respected hip and pelvic practice in the UK. Clinical ExperienceMr Ward has had a broad training and wide experience in Orthopaedic and Trauma surgery. He underwent basic surgical training in London, and specialist training in Bristol. He has been awarded The Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training and is therefore privileged to be listed in the General Medical Council Specialist Register.
